70's inspired classic rock act Cats In Space will be touring the UK in September 2017 and the dates will include three shows at The Borderline in London (this is kinda cool as acts rarely play a residency these days). The tour will support the Cats upcoming album 'Scarecrow' which is due in August. So if you were impressed by the band on the recent Thunder tour, or just love great tunes with loads of harmonies, tickets for the shows are onsale from 10 AM on Friday, June 2nd. Those Cats In Space tour dates and a press release with obligatory Cat puns a plenty follows:
When is enough, enough? When do the doubts win? What day should the music die? If you’re a member of Cats In Space, the answer is “Never”. With claws fully extended, these guys are digging in, and not letting go of their dream any time soon. With personal histories full of near misses, these Cats are not quite 9 lives down, but they are sure as hell going to make this one count. With the release of their second album ‘Scarecrow’ in August 2017, and a national tour confirmed for September (including a good old fashioned London residency) the band are already fulfilling their ambitions. Tickets for the tour go on sale on Friday 2nd June at 10:00. The band are simply doing what they have to do: that itch has to be scratched, this record had to be made.
With ten brand new songs, ‘Scarecrow’ will rock you into submission, but they will also bring a smile to your face. And, in this increasingly wicked world, there’s a lot to be said for that. On this follow up to their debut ‘Too Many Gods’, Cats In Space offer unashamed fun, channelling the finest riffs and melodies in musical history: but don’t think for a second that this is a novelty band. Their resolve is steely and their determination absolute. Don’t bet against them!
Their exuberant 70s-inspired music may hark back to the glory days but, by delivering no-holds-barred live shows at full throttle across the country, their committed and sincere approach to blowing the roof off is finding a warm welcome. A guilty pleasure they may be, but Cats In Space are living the dream simply by willing it into existence. Fresh from wowing audiences on the Thunder tour, the band are ready, and hungry for more. With big summer dates confirmed, including Cropredy and a slot at the huge Phil Collins Hyde Park Show [plus big news coming later in the year] these Cats are ready to get everyone in a flap. And, yes, those harmonies are all done live!
With their second album imminent, Cats In Space are steering well clear of the litter tray, and they’re on the launch pad, ready for ignition. Get ready for some deep impact!
