John Oates will visit the UK in October 2018 for a rare run of UK/Eire shows. The dates are in support of his recently released 'Arkansas' album which showed a different side of John Oates the singer and songwriter. John will be touring with members of The Good Road Band and these dates are a very rare opportunity to see John perform live outside of Hall & Oates especially here in the UK. More about John Oates and the tour follows:
John Oates' love for American roots music is brought to the fore on Arkansas, his new album featuring The Good Road Band, an impressive lineup consisting of legendary mandolin player Sam Bush, pedal steel innovator Russ Pahl, world-famous electric guitar picker Guthrie Trapp, bass veteran Steve Mackey, cello virtuoso Nat Smith, and percussionist Josh Day. The album offers Oates' own unique take on old blues and country gems from the likes of Emmett Miller and Jimmie Rodgers, Blind Blake and Mississippi John Hurt, who Oates' hails as both an influence and inspiration, alongside two of his own compositions.
