BLUE OCTOBER - ‘Home’ album
The Texas based alt rock band Blue October released their current album, ‘Home’, in April 2016. Their fifth consecutive Billboard Top 20 record, the title track subsequently spent over 6 months in the Top 40 at US radio, creating increased promotional demands on the group and forcing the postponement of a European tour that had been due to take place in the early autumn. The UK dates will now take place at the beginning of March. A radio edit of the first song on the album, ‘Coal Makes Diamonds’, will be released as a single to coincide.

BLUE OCTOBER - bio.
Blue October is a Houston, Texas based alternative rock band known for its shimmering melodies and heart-string pulling lyrics. They boast a powerful line-up of players including one of the most emotionally charged and magnetic frontmen in music today in Justin Furstenfeld.
The band have scored several Top 40 Billboard singles in their home territory with songs like ‘Hate Me’, ‘Bleed Out’, ‘Fear’ and ‘Home’. The first of these hits was included on their 4th album, the platinum selling ‘Foiled’ (2006), while each of the group's subsequent full length releases has charted comfortably inside the US Top 20, with 2011’s ‘Any Man In America’ debuting at no. 8.
The band have a sizeable following in the UK, drawing audiences of 1000+ to several cities during a European tour to promote 2013’s ‘Sway’. Blue October released their 8th studio album, ‘Home’, in April 2016 in the US and toured extensively in North America to promote it, spurred on by the massive success of the title track at Top 40 radio.
The album charted simultaneously at no 1 on the Billboard Alternative, Rock and Independent Charts. It was released in Europe a month later via Membran/The Orchard.
“’Sway’ was about finding inner peace and learning to live in a healthy way,” says Justin Furstenfeld. “’Home’ is about what we do with our time on earth, how we’re going to utilise that time in a positive way and make it the best we possibly can by bettering ourselves.”
