Swedish alt-folk trio Crying Day Care Choir have announced their brand new single ‘Sad Season’, out today through Warner Music.
The single finds the multi-instrumentalists incorporating guitars, ukulele and driving percussion to deliver a triumphant anthem of feel-good positivity, warming the chilly first months of 2017. Crying Day Care Choir’s glorious harmonies and stunning folk heartbeat chime with a reminiscence of Fleet Foxes, The Lumineers and Mumford & Sons.
Crying Day Care Choir is the musical backbone of a close-knit family, with husband and wife Jack and Sara Elz, alongside Jack’s brother Bill Nystedt, comprising the collective.
The band have become a big draw across Europe with their bittersweet songwriting, and have completed major tours across Italy and Scandinavia in support of their self-released 2014 debut album Leave The Kingdom.
Now signed to Warner Music, ‘Sad Season’ is the first taste of new music from Crying Day Care Choir and a beautiful statement for what is set to be a very exciting new year for the Stockholm trio.
