The Stray Birds announce Ipswich UK show

Maverick Festival and Blue House Music are pleased to announce that highly acclaimed Americana / Folk act The Stray Birds have a headline show at St. Peter's By The Waterfront in Ipswich UK on Saturday October 22nd. This is the final date of their current UK tour so it should be a great night. Tickets can be bought HERE.

This is the band that stole the show at Cambridge Folk Festival last year and was widely regarded as event favourites. Reporting for Sky Arts, BBC presenter Mark Radcliffe, said: “You’re gonna love them!” and he was right - they did.

The new album 'Magic Fire', as predicted by many, is winning them even more media attention. "It’s sheer effervescence that makes Magic Fire a singular sensation, one destined to make The Stray Birds the break out band of the year," says staff writer Lee Zimmerman, reviewing the new album for No Depression magazine.

Support comes from Essex-born Tom Parkes; he's a highly observant wit combined with a tuneful troubadour. His hugely original material reflects his take on life and all of its, and his, eccentricities, all with an Americana beat.
