No strangers to the UK, Blue October will return to our shores for a run of shows in April 2023. The dates coincide with the epic release schedule for ‘Spinning The Truth Around’. Part one was released in late 2022, with further releases on the horizon. Justin Furstenfeld obviously never sleeps with the singer/songwriter also embarking on an acting career. Blue October has 8 shows coming up across UK and Eire in April following the release of Part 1 of the band’s upcoming double album, Spinning the Truth Around. Throughout 2020-21, Furstenfeld wrote and recorded both albums with the band at his Up/Down Studios in San Marcos, Texas.
For that initial spark, Justin asked himself, “If Springsteen had to say goodbye to someone he really cared for, how would he do it?” The feeling of the song, Justin says, is “like a sunset, bittersweet. It’s beautiful when it’s shining. Sad when it’s gone. Just grateful that you got to be a part of it.“
Furstenfeld was thrilled to be making his feature film debut as a villain in the action movie Section 8, alongside Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke, Dermont Mulroney and Ryan Kwaten. The film was directed by Christian Sesma with an original screenplay by Chad Law (The Hit List, Black Water), Section 8 is the story of a former soldier who, after avenging the murder of his family, is sprung from prison and recruited by a shadowy government agency.
