Albert Cummings by Jennifer Mardus
The latest album release from blues singer/guitarist Albert Cummings ‘Believe’ is due February 14th via Provogue. Cummings recorded the album at the legendary FAME studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama with Jim Gaines (Stevie Ray Vaughan / Santana) behind the board. Needless to say, the recording location shaped the sound of the record so we can expect plenty of blues, country, and rock n’ roll. Check out the latest single ‘Queen of Mean’ and a really nice take on the Sam & Dave classic ‘Hold On’.

David Haerle is a new name to RGM but the Los Angeles based singer/songwriter/guitarist has a new single available ‘Go Do That With Sharon’ which is pretty darn cool. The track is from his upcoming ‘Death Valley’ album due in the Spring of 2020. Haerle is the President of the CMH Label Group so his personal musical career has taken a backseat but ‘Death Valley’ will be his second solo release. I’ll let David tell us a little about ‘Go Do That With Sharon’. Then check out the single below. You’ll be glad you did.
“The song’s kind of an inside joke between me and my partner Erica, We have a very good friend, Sharon, who likes to do things some people might find a little offbeat or kooky, like the international UFO convention she just attended. When Erica and I are traveling, say on Interstate 15 and I exclaim, ‘I’d love to go explore that abandoned water park over there,’ something she has zero interest in, she’ll say ‘go do that with Sharon.’ Even in the best of relationships there will be interests both parties don’t share, so to be able to have other friends you can ‘go do that with’ is a healthy thing”

A Thousand Horses recently shared a new track ‘Drinking Song’ the second teaser from the upcoming album due later this year. The album will be released on Dave Cobb’s Low Country Sound/Elektra Records imprint. The band has been very busy since the release of ‘Southernality’ in 2015 touring with a host of country and rock acts including Darius Rucker, Jason Aldean and Lynyrd Skynyrd while they also found time to release the ‘Bridges’ EP in 2017. 2020 looks like a big year for A Thousand Horses as the band hit the road again in support of the upcoming record.
Canadian singer-songwriter William Prince will release his new album ‘Reliever’ February 7th via Glassnote Records. The album was recorded in Nashville with Dave Cobb (yep, that man again) and Scott Nolan producing. Check out this superb performance of latest single ‘Always Have What We Had’ and William’s thoughts on the song.
“I went home to my empty apartment with flesh and blood in my head and just started reflecting on the time spent with my son’s mother. You put the work into things and sometimes it doesn’t go the way you hope. That doesn’t mean it’s a total wash, you can learn a lot from a difficult situation like that. We have a beautiful son who we both love very much - we’re the best of friends that we’ve ever been now because of the realization that we’ll always have what we had, despite any hiccups along the way”
Last but not least we welcome London based Folk singer-songwriter Ned Roberts with his third album ‘Dream Sweetheart’ due via Aveline Records on February 7th. Roberts has an album release show set for February 4th at London’s Slaughtered Lamb and more dates to follow. The second single from the album ‘The Songbird’ is available now and you can check out the video below:
