Spanish act Morgan announce 'Another Road' single and London live date
Spanish act Morgan will release a UK single ‘Another Road’ on February 21st 2020 to coincide with a London show at Colours in Hoxton on the 25th. Morgan might be a new name to many in the UK but the band have two albums and plenty of road miles on the clock with shows as far afield as Brazil. More about Morgan and their Colours showcase follows:
Acclaimed Spanish alt-soul-folk-pop outfit Morgan announce their inaugural UK focused single, ‘Another Road’ which will be released on February 21st via their own label imprint, North Records. The track will be unveiled for a special live showcase at Hoxton’s bar and art space Colours on 25th February 2020.
Continuing to develop their ‘feel good’ formula for groove-inducing soul/funk-pop, Morgan’s stunning new track, ‘Another Road’ marks the band’s triumphant arrival in Britain by tying smooth textures with euphoric, disco ball-shaped rhythm. Combining swelling string sections and funk-soaked guitar lines, Nina de Juan’s streamline vocals flutter with a rich and defined tonal prowess. Before the band are set to go on an unofficial hiatus to record their upcoming third album, Morgan will perform the track at an exclusive showcase at London’s impressive Hoxton venue, Colours on 25th February.
Echoing themes of American rock, soul and R&B, Morgan have been widely commended by fans and critics from around the world. Since the release of their 2015 debut ‘North’ and their 2018 follow up ‘Air’ via their own North Records imprint, Morgan have been touring constantly around Spain, selling out shows at iconic venues such as Barcelona’s Apolo and Madrid’s La Riviera and Joy Eslava. They’ve featured on the bill of major festivals such as Mad Cool and Sonorama as well as filling out capacity shows across the UK and Ireland. In 2017, the band played in Brazil alongside Latin Grammy award-winning artist Tulipa Ruizas and Spanish rock legends, Leiva. They have won five Premios de la Música Independiente, claiming awards for ‘Best Artist’, ‘Best Album’ and ‘Best Live Show’.
