Keb' Mo' announces new album 'Good To Be' for January 21st 2022 via Rounder Records

Guaranteed to brighten your day is ‘Good Strong Woman’ from Keb’ Mo’. The single featuring Darius Rucker is from his upcoming album ‘Good To Be’ and is one of three tracks from the album co-produced by Vince Gill. The album was written between Nashville and Compton merging country, blues, soul and geographical influences. Other guests on the album include Old Crow Medicine Show and Kristin Chenoweth. The video for ‘Good Strong Woman’ was released today (October 14th) and it’s full of positivity and good vibes. More about Keb’ Mo’ and the upcoming album follows:

The RGM Inbox November 2020

It’s time for another dive into the RGM Inbox where a host of gems are ready for discovery. We like to feature a wide range of music at RGM and November has seen a host of interesting releases in a wide range of genres. The advice is always to give things a go, step outside of your comfort zone and discover something a little different. This month we’ve new music from Phil Gould a founding member of Level 42, pop-rock from Andy Keels that harks back to the ‘80s an era that Liverpool band Candy Opera originated from before they took a thirty-year career break. Last but not least we catch up with Zac Brown Band founding member John Driskell Hopkins and a taster from his ‘Lonesome High’ album due in February 2021.

The powerful new single by Shannon LaBrie 'Firewalker'

Shannon LaBrie was born in Lincoln, Nebraska but has been based in Nashville since 2008. Newly signed to the Moraine Music Group Shannon delivers a powerful bluesy/soulful take on Americana with the release of her new single ‘Firewalker’ on May 1st, 2020. The track was penned by Shannon with Tia Sillers and exceptional Australian guitarist Joe Robinson. If ‘Firewalker’ is a taster for an upcoming album then I’m going to be in the queue to check that out. Spanish act Morgan announce 'Another Road' single and London live date

Spanish act Morgan will release a UK single ‘Another Road’ on February 21st 2020 to coincide with a London show at Colours in Hoxton on the 25th. Morgan might be a new name to many in the UK but the band have two albums and plenty of road miles on the clock with shows as far afield as Brazil. Paul Cauthen returns with 'Room 41' album due September 6th 2019

Paul Cauthen returns with a new album ‘Room 41’ via Lightning Rod Records on Sept 6th. A single/video from the album ‘Cocaine Country Dancing’ is out today (June 14th). Cauthen is blessed with a fantastic baritone voice and his music is an eclectic mix of country, southern soul and gospel influences. ‘Room 41’ is his third solo release following ‘My Gospel’ from 2016 and the more recent ‘Have Mercy’ EP. In advance of the album release Cauthen is in Europe with a run of dates that include The Slaughtered Lamb in London and the Black Deer Festival. Lettuce set to 'Elevate' on new album due 14th June 2019

Fresh from an extended Easter break we’ve returned to find the RGM inbox groaning under the weight of cool music. With literally hundreds of emails to consider where do we start? Lettuce are an acclaimed US act originally formed at the Berklee College of Music in Boston back in 1992. ‘Elevate’ is their sixth studio album set for release 14th June 2019 via Regime Inc / Membran. The first taster from the record ‘Krewe’ is very cool and a great funky way to start the week. This looks like the tip of the iceberg for Lettuce as the guys aren’t bound by genre classifications so we can expect some cool grooves when the record drops. Belle Adair look to redefine Muscle Shoals with 'Tuscumbia' on Jan 19th

The members of Belle Adair will need no introduction if you've been following the impressive run of releases on Single Lock Records as keyboardist Ben Tanner and drummer Reed Watson run the label. The band has effectively acted as the label house band in recent years backing label founder John Paul White and Donnie Fritts amongst others. Now Belle Adair are taking their place in the sun with the release of the Tom Schick (Wilco) produced 'Tuscumbia' which puts their personal spin on that rich Muscle Shoals musical heritage. Lukas Nelson & Promise Of The Real will release their self-titled album on August 25th via Fantasy Records. Three tracks that capture a beguiling mix of country, rock and soul from the record are now available to share. When your dad is country legend Willie Nelson and you've been working with Neil Young in recent years then expectations are going to be set pretty high. Well, the good news is the three tracks are all excellent and showcase an album which sounds like it'll be very fine indeed. Mike Andersen brings the devil back June 2nd 2017

Danish singer-songwriter Mike Andersen returns with his seventh album ‘Devil Is Back’ on June 2nd 2017 via Nordic Music Society. Looking to expand his blues-soul palate Andersen teamed up with producer Mads Michelsen (The Gnags) and worked with a range of songwriters. This process included a trip to Nashville where collaboration with Heather Bond resulted in the first single ‘This Time’ a duet with Joss Stone. Otis Redding - The complete Live At The Whisky A Go Go

I think it's about time we added a little soul to proceedings here at Red Guitar Music so... The legendary Otis Redding was a man on a mission when he stormed into Los Angeles in April of 1966 to play three nights at the Whisky A Go Go on Sunset Strip these recording are to be released as a six disc set on October 21st. This is the first time the seven sets have been made available in their entirety.
